April Showers Scarf

So... this was my second scarf ever! I used about 4 skeins of Tahki's Bali yarn and this pattern: http://www.purlbee.com/april-showers-scarf/

Pretty easy to do, though at times I sorta lost count >_>. And now I know how to purl! I definitely goofed up in some places but hopefully, they aren't too noticeable :P.

Yay!

Oh, pretty! I'm always a little scared of textured things like that because I am so worried I'll lose count. >>; How long did it take?

Thanks! Me too >_>. But it wasn't so bad once you get to know the pattern, and how all the stitches work (like if you do a purl while the "back" of the scarf is facing you, then the purling will show up on the other side).

I was really bad about consistently working on this scarf. It took me like a few months >_> when I bet it could've just taken a few weeks if I were more diligent.

Oh well :D;; Ria can still wear it, since the yarn is really cool to the touch.

Yeah, I've done some stuff with ribbing before, so I get the basic idea -- but that's about as textured as I've gotten.

Maybe! My knitting seems to go pretty quickly only when I get into the zone about it; otherwise projects languish half finished and I'm all "oh, i'll get to them."

It looks really soft~

Have you ever done any shawls? I have a pattern for one but uh... it's pretty confusing ;;

Haha, I'm trying to just do one at a time, and yet, I still procrastinate!

And it is! The yarn is made from bamboo, if I remember correctly. It's very soft and cool to the touch~ I guess I could've made something more lacy but whatever :D

Nope, not yet. I'd like to, though! I've expanded beyond scarves and gotten into armwarmers and wristbands which are kind of fantastic since they're so much shorter and I can get them done faster.

It's fair enough when it's just a hobby, I think~ It's when you get into attaching deadlines to things that the procrastination gets problematic. .>>

Oh, I've heard of that~ I might try something like that someday when I run out of all my cheap Red Heart crap. XD;
