( Restart? )
BTW, I have a new desktop and I LOVE IT. I ALSO LOVE WINDOWS 7. IT'S SO MUCH FASTER THAN VISTA. It took some work to get it to look like some of the older versions' options (like having to re-enable the quick launch bar), and I haaate the start up menu, but otherwise, it's good. I also have new speakers, so I can rock out.

I haven't even gotten to the HOSPITAL yet, and this game already took up about half an hour of my life. SHITE-- I love it!
I've played the original Revelations: Persona on the Playstation. I hadn't beaten it, but I did get up to the very last dungeon (I think! Deva Yuga is the last, right?), so I've had experience with the older game. With that said, here are a few of my impressions.
1) WOW. It's weird seeing a white Mark. (Okay, not really :P)
2) I was really surprised by the walking speed when you're in first-person mode. You literally ZOOM down the hall and the only way to stop yourself is to bang into the wall. Okay, so the controls aren't that slippery but it's veerrrry fast and kinda disorienting at first. However, it is a godsend when you see these maps you have to cover. Not to mention they only get BIGGER as the game progresses. So yes, good job with giving us rocket boots, Atlus!
3) Is anyone else disapponted that we don't get those little sound effects anymore? When our characters do a dialogue and suddenly! Someone's surprised and we get that little "Surprise!" sound effect? ...No? Well, I miss them. ;_; Maybe the first few scenes don't have them in this remake but it was definitely something I noticed-- it was something that made the original game really quirky and stand out to me.
4) I didn't like the music at first, and even found it distracting when I was trying to read the dialogue (singing in the background). But after a while, you get used to it and you can block it out. Have I mentioned I hate that they re-did some of the music so there's SINGING now? Ugh. THough, I did like how they remixed some of the original soundtrack.
5) THE MAP. OMG. WOOOOOOW. It's... it's so beautiful. No more polygon people and cars and TREES. My cousin, when he first witnessed me play, said that my character looked like a bush on the world map. And you know what? He did. A big green, twirling bush. Here, it's still the same sort of cursor, but the map is so wonderfully drawn. It's very much in the style of both Persona 2's. Very, very nice.
6) Alaya Shrine? Sorry... I'm way too used to the Araya Shrine.
Next mission: Actually GETTING TO THE HOSPITAL. Nanjo and Yukino have already reminded me 341031031201 times to get my ass there-- so I might as well.

I should put this livejournal to good use. I barely use it since... well, there's nothing much to talk about in my life. So, maybe I'll use it as a game commentary during my play. It won't be GOOD commentary, but just my thoughts.
I really need to update my little list on the side there >> But anyway, I'm currently playing Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for the PSP and... World of Warcraft on the PC.
( Crisis Core )
Okay, that was longer than I thought and I don't feel like getting into WoW now. So I'll save that for next time~

Lars and the Real Girl. Go watch it. It's a very sweet film, despite its premise.

Random gripe that I may have mentioned before:
I almost don't want to get the Persona remake on the PSP. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy are they replacing the original soundtrack with terrible (from what I've heard so far) JPop? Can't they just have an option where you can switch between them? >_< ARG.

Watched the first episode of Firefly and wow, I like it. It reminds me of Outlaw Star. Sure, there are spaceships and everything, but it's about being on the run like... an outlaw. Space cowboys!

So... Prince of Persia for the PS3. It's a very pretty game, easy to get into, and has likeable characters (though the Prince is a bit too chatty sometimes). BUT. The ending... was terrible.
( Terrible in many ways. (spoilers) )
Ughhhh. There's an alternate ending that you can buy for 9.99 on the Playstation Store or wathever it's called, but like hell am I going to buy it *youtubes*.
But finally, this game is done and over with. Now I need to find some Prince and Elika fanfic!!11

I'm turning into way too much of a geek.
Steven (Li) ran Nick and me through a little DnD mini game and... you know, I liked it. The combat, at least. Didn't do much roleplaying since we were trying to get the combat system down. But yeah, it was surprisingly enjoyable, especially with all of our botched rolls: we just couldn't kill this one goblin who had like 1 HP left since the very beginning! Yarg, frustrating, but fun!
And now... oh god, I'm looking for a set of dice for myself. Whyyyyyyyy?
I'm really digging these: Chessex Scarab - Jade/Gold dice
Chessex Cirrus
and the Gemini Purple/Steel : http://www.chessex.com/Dice/Gemini/PurpleSteel.htm
;-; I'M ... I'M TURNING INTO A PATHETIC GEEK WAAAAH

Definitely my favorite piece of the show, especially the Chemical Plant Zone part, followed by Metropolis Zone.
( More to follow )
All in all, a great performance. I like how they don't strictly follow the original material. Anyway, go watch the other ones!

Now that's dedication.
It's Anime Boston! Yaaaay! But sadly, I will not be going. But seeing all the cosplayers makes me want to go =/ siiigh

( A scarf for Ria~ )
So... this was my second scarf ever! I used about 4 skeins of Tahki's Bali yarn and this pattern: http://www.purlbee.com/april-showers-scarf/
Pretty easy to do, though at times I sorta lost count >_>. And now I know how to purl! I definitely goofed up in some places but hopefully, they aren't too noticeable :P.
Yay!
